Photography Workshops Offered

Autumn in Bucks County, Pennsylvania is the most beautiful time of year. The morning mist and the afternoon glow provide the most spectacular lightning for photography.  The Pennsylvania Center for Photography offers a variety of workshop and classes, beginning in October.

Foundations of Photography
(Level: Beginning)  -   Tuesdays 7-9 PM: 10/4, 10/11, 10/25, 11/1 (nosession on 10/18)

This four-part workshop will deal with the essential elements of photography – from understanding your camera’s capabilities (and limitations), to creatively controlling exposure to composition and color, to depth of field and selective focus. In other words, we are going to give you the tools to start creating exciting images that move way beyond casual snapshots. And that’s when photography really becomes fun!
The only prerequisites for this course are a camera and a desire to take better pictures.
$195.00 Non-Members, $175.00 Members(5 participant min/ 8 participant max)

Lightroom for Pragmatic People
(Level: Any)  -  Thursdays 7-9 PM: 10/6, 10/13, 10/20

There is a lot to Lightroom, and this three session workshop will focus on its  core benefits including image modification and utilizing the program’s strong file management options.  A basic understanding of computers is required as is a laptop loaded with the latest version of Lightroom (can be the free trial version).
$145.00 Non-Members, $115.00 Members (4 participant min/ 8 participant max)

Concepts of Cognitive Composition (or how to stop taking bad pictures!)
(Level: Any)  -  Saturday: October 8th 9:30 AM – 12:00

This is a non-technical session, short form version of our very popular, multi-session Cognitive Composition Workshop.  It is designed to help you “see,” and to pre and post-visualize your subjects to create better images. We’re going to get you actually thinking about the subjects you take and what you need to do to turn them from pictures to photographs!  Of all the subjects we teach at the PCP, this is by far the most important!
$65.00 Non-Members, $50.00 Members(5 participant min)

The PCP reserves the right to cancel any workshop or single session event if the required minimum number of participants does not sign up. Full refunds will be issued.
