"The Art and Magic of Nature Photography"
By Buddy Eleazer
A technical and compositional overview for creating exceptional Nature and Wildlife Photographs
We’ve all seen many photos of wildlife. Many times we view the image and move on. Occasionally we see a shot and pause. We image a time and place. We even come back to that image time and again. Why did that photograph work while others were ‘just another good picture’?
Through his images, award winning nature photographer Buddy Eleazer will share basic compositional tips he uses to create effective nature images. While not focusing this talk on technical aspects of the camera, Buddy will also share field setting for various challenging photographic situations that will allow you to more effectively capture the moment. Among the techniques addressed: capturing birds in flight, creating pan action wildlife shots and getting proper exposure in changing conditions. Whether a photographer or just a lover of nature, Buddy’s compelling images and casual story telling style will deliver an enjoyable talk.

As our second event in our free three week Saturday series of presentations for photographers, we invite you to join Henry Rowan in a talk about “Cognitive Composition”. This event is a short form overview of a unique five week workshop that is very popular at the PCP. It blends PCP Executive Director Henry Rowan’s concept of Non-Existent Imagery with the principles found in the Gestalt Theories of Visual Perception. Whether you are just starting out or are an experienced photographer, after only an hour you won’t be looking at your subjects in quite the same way… so please join us!
